11 hours of dance classes, workshops, and score-building exercises followed by a public performance at Vesper Theatre.
The focus of eleventh hour is establishing a financially accessible day for dance artists to receive training from exceptional teachers, explore their physical and artistic edges, and create spontaneously, instinctively, and collaboratively to compose and perform in a work.

Kristin O’Neal - Contemporary Modern Technique
Residing in Atlanta, GA, Kristin performs a bit, teaches a lot and choreographs when the spirit moves her. Kristin’s contemporary modern technique classes include a deep investigation into how one’s body operates while considering the muscular effort needed to fulfill a movement. She enjoys sharing this mode of efficiency with students at Emory University as well as with the Atlanta Dance and Contact Improvisation communities.
On occasion, Kristin will create a solo dance based loosely on the life of one of her great aunts or grandmothers, always with a recycled costume and typically donning one of their personal handkerchiefs, brooch, or clip earrings.
Finally, Kristin O’Neal has earned a couple of dance degrees that can often feel insignificant; however, they fueled her with a life-long practice of dancing and engagement with a community of humans who continue to inspire her to research and evolve.

Lucy Smith - Clowning Workshop: Follow Your Pleasure
Lucy Smith (she/her) is a writer and performer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She has written and performed two solo shows, Chorus of Bears which was produced by Synchronicity Theater (2020) and Suitcase Full of Dreams, produced and supported by Fly on a Wall through their BIG SHOW grant (2023). Lucy holds an MFA from Columbia University in New York City and a BA from Bard College with a double major in Drama/Dance and Filmmaking. She has collaborated and performed with many New York City companies such as Anne Bogart's SITI company, Josh Fox's International WOW company and Rachel Chavkin's (Tony award winner) TEAM theater company where she performed in their European tour. She co-founded a Shakeapeare in the Park touring company in Portland, Oregon. Earlier this year she performed and co-wrote a devised theater piece Togal with the counter/current theater company in Belfast, Maine. And! She just came back from studying with Alex Tatarsky at the Celebration Barn in South Paris, Maine in their week-long workshop called Dirt, Decay and Decomposition. She is the founder of MOTHERLODE THEATER and is working on her next show which is a deep dive into the southern lady.
Julio Medina - Contemporary Floorwork
Julio Medina is a first-generation Chicano from Los Angeles, now based in Atlanta. Medina is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Emory University. His choreography is rooted in a deep curiosity to understand the complex layers of community, resilience, and connection. Medina’s current research explores his indigenous roots, specifically Mexica cosmology.

Jacqui Hinkson - EXCAVATE Practices
Jacqui Hinkson is the Founder and Artistic Director of EXCAVATE BODY. She is a dancer, multidisciplinary artist, and choreographer currently based in ATL.
She is honored to be amongst the web of talented movers and creators in the city and looks forward to developing new ways to come together, move, create, and make work!

Parker Bradford - eleventh hour Sound Designer
Parker Bradford is an artist and musician from Atlanta, Georgia. His musical projects include Parallacks, Poor Elliot, Gloria’s Cousin, and Business Major. He also builds electronics and custom musical instruments with his wife through their business WonderWorks. What inspires Parker is the exciting breadth of what the modern musician has at their disposal, that allows for a blend of electronic with traditional, new with old, and popular music with experimental sound design. Digital, analog, and acoustic instruments all blend together, as well as recording equipment itself in use as a musical instrument. For the current event, Parker is particularly excited to work with dancers, because of the ancient relationship between human movement and music.

The day is 100% free to participating movers. Attendees are investing their time in their craft — this shouldn't come with a financial barrier.
Teachers & technicians are paid their asking rate. We're not negotiating value of work.
Tickets to the show are available on a sliding scale and free for those undergoing financial distress.
